Edited by me.

I am truly a flower child, give me flowers everyday and I'll be happy for the rest of my life. I have been collecting wild flowers since the time I remember. I used to spend hours during my games period in school collecting flowers. I had gone crazy when mom gifted me this dress with flowers painted on it. I have been in love with co-ords trend ( also called two piece dress, also twin set ).
Co-ords have been my uniform this summer. It only seems fitting to post this look now as yesterday was my mom's birthday.

This twin set has a crop top and midi skirt with handpainted flower details. I added a pop of pink to brighten the whole neutral look. The back of the crop top is pretty amazing with flowers painted on the entire back.
I am planning to sell this dress, so all you pretty people who love handmade and handpainted stuff like me and want to buy this dress please drop a mail here.

Giveaway is open till 20th so like us on  instagram and facebook and participate.

Pop logo clutch + GIVEAWAY

As promised a while back, finally we are doing a giveaway :)
Pop clutches have been popular for quite sometime, whether the milk carton bag from Chanel or the Moschino French Fry bag. After drooling over these bags for days I thought of making one for myself. So this one, I have decided to give to my lovely readers.
We are big fans of Twinings green tea. I have always loved its carton with the intricate details, so I decided to use it for making a pop logo box clutch.

Required :

Twinings green tea carton
Tassels
Pearls
Pearl buttons
Pearl lace
White laminate board pieces
Needle and thread
Fabric glue

I started by drawing random designs on the white laminate board cut according to the carton's size.

Then I added tassels at the base of the box using a thread and needle.

Then add pearls on the boundary of the box using fabric glue and forceps.

This how the box will look after adding pearls and tassels.

Attach the pearl lace on the sides of the box using thread and needle to make strap for the bag. Also add the pearl buttons on the side.

After attaching the strap, paste the laminate on the internal sides of the bag. This will make the bag sturdy.

This is how the final bag looks. I am pretty happy with the boho vintage vibe of the clutch. Plus its handmade. All my favourite things at once.

The inside of the clutch.

This is our first giveaway and am so excited about it :D

So here are the rules :
1. Like us on facebook and follow us on Instagram

2. On instagram or facebook, comment on the picture by telling us how you will style this bag and tag five of your friends who you think would be able to rock this bag( you can comment more than once by tagging different people everytime).
3. The winner would be chosen randomly and the results would be declared on facebook and Instagram on 20th of December.
Good luck.

L.O.V.E.

Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love
                                                                                             - Albert Einstein

Recently I have started layering my pendants. Its the best way to wear jewellery on sweaters. I love layering my charm pendents in different layers. Layering pendents is the best way to amp up your style.
Currently I am obsessed with handwriting pendants, they have this authentic charm and look amazing when layered. This post is quick DIY on how to make handwriting pendants using wire.

Materials Needed :
Gold Wire
Scissors

The process is pretty easy. You just have to bend the wire and make loops. The images are self explanatory.

Cut a piece of small wire and bend it to make a L like loop.

Keep bending the wire and making loops in shape of alphabets O-V-E in running handwriting style.
Cut the extra wire at the end.

Similarly you can make bracelets by taking the measurement of your wrist.

I am super happy with the final result.

You can make different bracelets and layer them too.

This is a pretty simple and easy DIY and I love these pendents. You can even write your name in a similar way.
If you have any queries, you can ask us in the comments below.
Until next time.
Keep creating.

Ode to the Fall

O WILD West Wind, thou breath of Autumn's being
Thou from whose unseen presence the leaves dead
Are driven like ghosts from an enchanter fleeing.

Fall has finally arrived here.It is one of those romantic seasons with the perfect weather. It seems like the leaves leave the tree and fall in love with the ground. It got inspired for this post by one of my favorite poems Ode to the West Wind. I love dressing up for fall. Five of my favorite fall essentials are a midi skirt in a bright color, oversized sweater/sweatshirt, biker leather jacket, army boots and a dark plum lipshade. This look is all about the warmth of comfy layers and can be dressed down by removing the leather jacket.

Clad In Gold

The festival of lights.
Everything around you is so beautiful that it makes you glow.

Blouse and lehanga : Custom tailored | Earrings : Borrowed from mom | Bangles : Local market |

On my lips : Media by Mac

We all want that perfect outfit for Diwali, don't we? Diwali has always been our favorite festival and we always look forward to decorating our house, making rangoli and dressing up on Diwali.

Lately I have been obsessed with South Indian gold jewellery and my look is inspired by it. This is my first traditional post on the blog so am pretty excited about it. I wore a gold blouse and a high waisted lehanga for Diwali. My lehanga is pretty contemporary so I accessorized it with a lot of gold accessories to give it a more traditional vibe.

I borrowed these earrings from my mom. I curled my hair and made a loose side braid. I accessorized my braid my gold headchain worn here. I added two small jhumka's at the start and end of my braid.  I added a dark plum lip color that perfectly  complemented the gold of my attire. I did a thick black eyeliner for a vintage look.
I added gold bangles to complete the look. I kept the look monochrome and highlighted it with loads of gold accessories.

I hope this post would help you with traditional dressing. I am an accessories person and I love accessorizing. Accessories take a outfit to a whole new level like bringing out the traditional in this look. I would love to hear your comments about this look. I hope you guys had a wonderful and safe Diwali. Loads of love.

Until next time.

Memoirs of Paharganj

“All that is gold does not glitter,Not all those who wander are lost.”

― J.R.R. TolkienThe Fellowship of the Ring

Kohlapuri : 150 - 300 INR

 Leather Oxfords : 750 - 1500 INR
I managed to bag the upper left dark brown oxford at 350 INR ( Courtesy : my super impressive bargaining skills)

Building that gives an old rustic charm to this place.

 Suede fringed leather bags : 250 - 1500 INR
Stoles : 150 - 250 INR

I fell in love with these beautifully carved buildings that give Paharganj an unique identity admist the chaos of the market.I had to snap these.

Vintage mythology inspired locks : 250 onwards ( cost depends on size and design )
Animal inspired door handles : Rs.400 onwards
Available in brass and copper metal.

These cute little ceramic and wooden boxes stole my heart : 750 INR
These would work as amazing jewellery organizers.

I bought these healing pointing crystal pendants for 40 INR each.
Rose quartz ( pink crystal ) - stone is symbolic of the energy of love, peace and calming energy

After a lot of mocking from my friends on my insatiable desire to visit Paharganj and I finally visited the place.!!
The market has a hippie ghetto feel to it with old architectural buildings which gives Paharganj an unique identity. And it is a vintage lovers paradise. On the outside it looks like any other old rustic market with shops in a row but if you dig in,it is a real treasure hunt.

Here you would find shops selling vintage stuff like old telephones, gramophones, typewriter( just for 3000 INR in working condition) , old rustic wooden boxes or shops selling handmade candles, incense sticks, itra( natural perfume ). Footwear shops made me go crazy over the variety they had to offer, you can buy anything from kohlapuri chappals to leather brogues or oxfords to summer sandals to knee-high suede leather gladiators.

This market has a lot of shops selling oxidized silver jewellery, earrings, tribal neckpieces, mangtikka's and what not. You can find minimalistic leather sling bags or stone engraved metal clutches. Me and my friend stumbled upon a crystal shop where I found these amazing pointing crystal pendants that were available in a blizzard of rainbow colors for Rs.40 only( At forever21 these were for 250 each so yayyy ). If you are a vintage lover and you have an alternate boho personality like me, you will fall in love with this place.

The market opens at 11 in the morning so I would suggest you visit around 11.30 like I did as the market gets super crowded during the day.You will see a lot of tourists at this market with DSLR's around their necks. The stuff here is rather inexpensive or subject to bargain. If you are good at bargaining its a win-win. I got leather brogues for 350 INR after bargaining from 750.

I returned home with brown leather brogues, black leather army boots, crystal pendants and wall hanging. You will see all this stuff in my future posts.

Here are the outfit details :
I decided to go for a no fuss look by wearing a single slit maxi skirt. I added a pop of color with orange top that I tucked in. I made a messy bun to beat the Delhi heat. I layered gold necklaces and carried a big bag to carry my camera and my buys. I needed comfortable footwear as I had to walk a lot so I wore oxfords that I got from Jaipur.

    Skirt : Thrifted | Top : Adagio | Neckpieces : Assorted | Oxfords : Jaipur | Bag : Handcrafted on order

Do you want me to visit some other interesting market? Drop in your ideas.
Until next time.
